Health Guard is a certified Community-Based Adult Services (CBAS) provider. Our day program gives seniors and adults 18 and older with physical or cognitive impairments medical care, therapy and social support, and they return home to their families each afternoon.
Adult Day Health Care (ADHC), known in California as Community-Based Adult Services (CBAS), is a daytime program that provides therapeutic, medical and social services to older adults and to adults with chronic medical, cognitive or mental health conditions or disabilities.
At Health Guard, participants spend the day with our nurses, therapists, social workers and caregivers, then go home in the afternoon. Our goal is to help each person stay as healthy and independent as possible, delay or prevent a move to a nursing home or other more expensive care setting, and give family caregivers real support.

We provide adult health care services on an individualized basis. CBAS is a Medi-Cal benefit, and most members receive it through their Medi-Cal managed care plan. Health Guard is listed by Kaiser Permanente Southern California as an affiliated Community-Based Adult Services facility for Medi-Cal Managed Care members, and our services are also covered by most HMO insurance plans and SCAN. Private pay options are available.
